Capitanich and Kicillof addressed bilateral integration with Brazilian officials

Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich and Economy Minister Axel Kicillof met in Brasilia with high-level officials of President Dilma Rousseff’s Government to discuss the bilateral relations

Capitanich and Kicillof were received by Cabinet Chief Aloizio Mercadante, Foreign Minister Luiz Alberto Figueiredo, Vice Minister of Economy Paulo Caffarelli and Presidential advisor, Marco Aurelio Garcia.

Through a communiqué, the Economy Ministry informed that “productive integration strategies were discussed to development the different sectors of the economy, as the automobile and steel sectors, naval and aviation as well as energy and trade.”

It was also agreed to share a software package in Spanish and Portuguese, in which all the issues regarding political, institutional, commercial and multilateral matters will be concentrated, so as to allow a permanent updating and follow-up.

The new Brazilian Economy Minister, Joaquim Levy announced that his Government will seek next year to reach a fiscal surplus of 1.2 percent of the GDP (Gross Domestic Product), curb inflation and reactivate the economic growth.
